A solution powered by secure cryptographic algorithms

Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is a technology designed to address the risk of conventional encryption methods becoming obsolete with the advancement of quantum computers. Utilizing diverse algorithms such as lattice-base cryptography, PQC ensures robust security.

Standardized by international bodies like NIST, PQC is essential for the long-term protection of sensitive data in fields such as finance, healthcare, and communications. Additionally, its hybrid compatibility with existing systems positions PQC as a cornerstone of future digital security environments.

Advantages

  • Security Preparedness for Future Technologies

Addresses the vulnerabilities of conventional encryption algorithms posed by quantum computers, ensuring long-term security for sensitive data in finance, healthcare, and government systems.

  • Maintaining Digital Trust

Guarantees the reliability of digital ecosystems, including digital signatures, certificates, and secure communications, with encryption designed to withstand quantum computing threats.

  • Ensuring Global Compatibility

Establishes essential security frameworks suited for the quantum era and ensures global compatibility through international standardization efforts, such as those led by NIST.

Key Features

feature
  • Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Technology

The advancement of quantum computers poses a significant threat to most of the algorithms currently in use. Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is an encryption technology developed to replace or complement existing cryptographic systems in preparation for the rise of quantum computing. Through this innovative technology, LG Shield enhances data security and guarantees safe communication across various environments.

  • How the Technology Works

Currently used public-key cryptography relies on mathematical problems, such as factoring and discrete logarithms, which are extremely time-consuming to solve using classical computers. However, quantum computers can solve these problems rapidly, rendering existing public-key cryptography unsafe. Cryptography experts have developed new encryption technologies based on mathematical problems that are difficult even for quantum computers to analyze, known as post-quantum cryptography. Since 2016, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has been comparing and evaluating various PQC technologies, standardizing the most robust algorithms in 2023. LG Shield leverages NIST-standardized technologies to provide verified security.
