The UP5Q model offers advanced security features through LG Shield technology. This product meets LG Electronics’ essential security requirements, which are based on global security regulations and standards. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies into its design, including LG Shield AppProtect, STMS (Security Threat Management System), IDPS (Intrusion Detection and Prevention System), and FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air).
To enhance security throughout the development process, secure coding practices, as well as memory, OS, and kernel hardening techniques, were applied. In addition, LG utilized *FOSSLight, an open-source management solution, to identify and resolve potential security vulnerabilities, aiming for a high level of security completeness.
The UP5Q model also underwent Coverity static analysis and sensitive information analysis to eliminate security defects. It has obtained ETSI EN 303 645 V2.1.1 certification, meeting internationally recognized security standards. Moreover, the device successfully passed Wi-Fi connectivity testing and *VulDOC driver fuzz testing, proving its overall security and reliability.
Finally, the UP5Q model received the official LG Shield certification, further validating the trustworthiness of the product.
